Of awards and rewards
The Indian Geospatial Awards 2008

While it was a lifelong endeavour for one person, it was a quest to innovate and excel for another. While one was a visionary, one had the confidence in the potential of the technology. While one showed excellent leadership skills, it was a lone battle for the other. While one was the best in the industry, the other was exemplary in the government. Geospatial Today brought all these people together on to one platform and rewarded the most deserving with the Indian Geospatial Awards 2008 at a glittering ceremony. Union Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Kapil Sibal honoured these extraordinary personalities and congratulated their talent and commitment. Here's a review of the award categories and the recipients.
